About this Position
The Field Technician is a mid-level IT position that will work closely with several members of the MicroAge Team and will be responsible for providing prompt, courteous service for our customers servicing personal computers and works well alone or in a team environment.
In-shop and onsite diagnose and repair failures to pc’s, laptop’s, printers and other peripherals
Learn and monitor our in-house monitoring software
Complete trouble tickets requested by customers
Prep and install various hardware in customers IT environment that exceeds customer satisfaction
Skills, Education and Experience
Preference will be given to candidates that have a Technical College Degree in IT or equivalent experience.
The Field Technician should have a minimum 1 to 2 years experience maintaining tier 1 computer systems.
The candidate should be technically proficient through training or field experience in the following areas
CompTIA A+ certified
Desktop and Laptop Computer repair
Microsoft Windows Operating Systems support
Printer repair experience and asset (Lexmark/HP)
Router and switch knowledge (Watchguard/Cisco)
