Warehouse and pre-configuration services are designed to accelerate the deployment of a large number of workstations across your head office and/or remote locations. These techniques are similar to those used in a well-organized IMAC (Installations, Moves, Adds and Changes) system, but are more sophisticated to address issues associated with the higher volume of equipment involved. Fully tested and configured workstations and related equipment are stored centrally by MicroAge and shipped to your facilities as required.
Deliverables
- Image development: Imaging involves setting up a baseline system with all common requirements for all users, then storing a copy of this baseline system so it can be quickly and easily replicated onto other, similar systems. Through careful planning and execution during the image creation process, we can significantly streamline the IMAC process by applying perfect images to multiple machines.
- All systems are delivered to a MicroAge integration facility to be fully configured and tested in preparation for the staging process.
- Staging of workstations and servers: This process includes loading the system image onto the storage device, assembling all the required pieces, and testing the unit before it is repackaged for shipment.
- Documentation: We provide a manual outlining all requirements essential for successful installation of the proposed equipment.
